This innovative program, spread over eight semesters underscoring broad based knowledge of business studies. Program Objectives
The B.S Applied Accounting and Finance is a four years innovative degree program. The curriculum has been blended to meet the challenges of rapidly evolving business accounting and financial environment. The theoretical and practical frame work of the core and elective subject will enhance the managerial ability to make effective business decisions. Besides this program will not only provide the potential students an excellent foundation for advanced career in accounting and Finance but will also meet the organizations requirement for appointment as Accounts/Finance Managers. The organization can even substitute this degree for professional accounting degree prescribed for appointment as Accounting and Finance Professionals.

Introduction
Bachelor of Commerce is a broad based four years program with 141 credit hours. It provides students a comprehensive knowledge and skills and entails a wide range of specialization, which are instrumental to transform firms and organization to compete and sustain in a post industrial society. Program Objectives:
The Bachelor of Commerce program at Hamdard Institute of Management Sciences (HIMS) is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills and abilities they need for successful careers in the public and private sectors, graduate studies.
The program will facilitate an understanding of the relationship between diverse business subject areas. Initially students receive a general overview of all subjects and then get the opportunity to specialize in the final two years.

This program has been designed to reinforce a culture of research through interactive paradigm. This helps build knowledge to address issues in the field of Business Administration which are not only pertinent for our development, but also strategically significant for advancing scholarship in the disciplines of marketing, management, entrepreneurship, HRM, finance and other related fields in Pakistan and internationalization of our research outcome through sharing with international academics bodies, institutions. We are offering specialization in the following disciplines:
Eligibility for MS Program
from HEC Accredited University and minimum 50% cumulative score in
GAT (General) test conducted by NTS.
OR
from HEC Accredited University in Business Studies or in Social Sciences with
with 2.5 CGPA or equivalent and minimum 50% cumulative score in
GAT (General) test conducted by NTS.
GAT(General) test is valid for a period of two years.

The students with Non Business Studies Masters degree holders have to complete
60 credit hours. Requests for transfer of credits(s) and exemption will be considered as per university, rules on provision of relevant documents.

International Linkages Supportive System for Research
In order to reinforce our programs our university and Institute will utilize international linkages to strengthen our research activities. For this the institute and faculty is highly indebted for the support of Prof. Toshio Sugimen, Professor of Group Dynamic, Graduate School of Human and Environmental studies Kyoto University, Japan for extending research facilities to our senior faculty during 2008-2009and his continued support and help in our research endeavors.

Entry Requirements:
The Diploma in Business Administration Program is designed to cater for the needs of those individuals who having completed their graduation are either searching for a job or working on part times basis. The minimum requirement for admission to this Program is graduation in any discipline with at least 50 % marks. Classes are held in afternoons, two days a week, on Saturday and Sunday. DBA qualifiers can pursue MBA evening program where they will be complete the remaining 12 courses.
Continuing Education Program
This program is especially designed for professionals to enhance competence through acquisition of knowledge and skills. HIMS provides an opportunity to register in the courses that pace with challenging and practical job situations in its evening executive and professional education program.
Conduct of Examination
The examination of all programs is conducted on semester system basis. Grading are awarded as per university’s rules. The students are required to maintain minimum 2.5 CGPA to earn degree of the program. Students of MBA and BBA(Hons) Programs will also clear comprehensive examination at the end of the program.
Financial Assistance and Scholarship Program
